JUSTice Highlights - April 25, 2024
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives……Then he began to say to them, “Today this scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.”
(Luke 4:18-21)

The world is watching the horrifying violence in the Holy Land today, and world powers are doing nothing to stop it. The Palestinian people urgently need our voices raised for them as never before. Join UMKR and partners in calling for an immediate ceasefire, for the release of both Israeli and Palestinian hostages, for ample humanitarian aid to be brought into Gaza, and for the U.S. and the world to stop arming Israel.
At the rally, we will hear brief statements from Palestinian and Israeli speakers, and African, Filipino, and Native American United Methodists, connecting the struggles of worldwide indigenous peoples against colonialism, ethnic cleansing, and racism.
