Removing, or at least reducing the barrier of language is one part of this outreach and relationship building. So, LYNC has made translation a key part of its focus at the General Conference.

LYNC recently welcomed the United Methodist Congress of the Deaf (UMCD) as the fifteenth member of the coalition.

The Love Your Neighbor Leadership Team met in October in Charlotte, NC, the location next year’s United Methodist General Conference. Leaders worked to make plans for the witness of the fourteen progressive organizations in the coalition.

Despite the passage of the deeply unjust and painful Traditionalist Plan, we remain committed to justice, inclusion, and the full love of Christ for LGBTQIA+ people in The United Methodist Church. This has been the charge of reconciliation since the language, so harmful to so many lives, was added labeling a part of God’s good creation as “incompatible with Christian teaching” in 1972.
