For The Rev Dianne Tobey Covault, Pastor at Christ United Methodist Church in Cleveland, Ohio removal of the restriction on gay and lesbian clergy in The United Methodist Church, “feels like that rock has not only been lifted, but thrown away.” In an interview with Joelle Hennerman, She shares how this will allow for a new way of doing ministry for her, saying, “I can do what I’m called to do … and serve all of the people that I am called to serve.”
